A series of twenty images generated with Stable Diffusion is currated to answer the question “What is a Human Being” in the age of rapidly developing AI tools.
The images involves human body parts that are entangled in the shape of technology throughout human history: from a spear in the Anthropolithic age, to a wrench emerged in the Industrial revolution, to a robot arm in the contemporary society, and ultimately to a cyborg figure from the future yet to come. As pure human flesh bodies gradually fuse with electronic features, this series of images aim to ponder the audience to question our relationship with technology and how such relationship transforms our understanding of “what is a human being”.
